Cadillac Construction

When I was very young Dad had a machine shop that I don't remember very well. When I was about 5 or 6 he started a construction company, Cadillac Construction. He was buying older small houses on fairly large lots in LA that were usually owned by a widow who no longer wanted the property. Then he demolished the house and built a 4-6 unit apartment building on the property. He usually sold them, but he wound up keeping one or two of them and I'm not sure if he had trouble selling them or just wanted rental income from them.

In approximately 1968 Dad built two custom homes in Palos Verdes, CA. One was our family home and the other was for the Mucciante family (not sure of the spelling). Their home was right across the street from ours on Chartres Dr. I became friends with their son Peter but I don't remember Peter's parents names.
